Breakfast at Commune in Burleigh with Aunty Sophia is always a lot of fun. Shame they only have one highchair though, as trying to eat and deal with a wriggling baby at the same time can be massively tricky!
I think I might invest in a portable highchair to keep in our car (one of those that you just attach to the table) as quite a few restaurants and cafe’s on the Gold Coast don’t even supply any baby seating (maybe they are trying to tell us something… haha)
Anyway great morning munching away on our Avocado on Turkish bread – which Hunter LOVES!

  1. Absolutely.. they could have the ones that clip onto the table so they dont take up any space.. its a no brainer!

  2. No I don’t think they should..

  3. I totally agree with you Christine! I wonder why some places don’t have them at all…? Maybe a subtle deterrent to parents & kids? It is pretty frustrating knowing that I’m probably going to get stressed out, also get covered in food and have her wriggle around the whole time! She sits so politely & nicely in highchairs, it’s a whole different dining experience.

  4. That’s what prams are for…

  5. SO maybe its a call before you go situation.. no high chair.. no go.. and they miss out on having your amazing presence in their establishment :) xx

  6. Prams are not for eating?! Prams do not involve your child in the meal and convocation. Sheesh

  7. So annoying when they don’t have them, trying to eat and balance crazy sonny is so hard! He doesn’t like lying back in his pram, he wants to be up at the table with the big kids haha, can’t wait to see you guys Wednesday xxxx

  8. Hunter can’t stand the pram so that is out of the question for us, plus I agree with Paris & Jess in the fact that we want Hunter up with us to eat and join in! Plus can you imagine the mess you would have to clean out of the pram fabric? Eeek!

  9. Get a bumbo! Or put them on a seat! Or better yet don’t go in there..

  10. haha imagine Hunter trying to fit in a bumbo! No offence Hunter but you and Sonny have some chunky thighs! We’re selling his because he’s just too big to get in and out hahaha

  11. Well again don’t go! Go where there is a high chair…

  12. Those clip on high chairs are awesome plus they include the bub into the experience I think that’s the way to go. It’s impossible to have high chairs at every cafe!
